My tribute to celebrate Old & New.....

Ofcourse I have to do some things, too....
I did scrap Elise's page this afternoon, but I also worked hard in the kitchen!
I made "amuses", tapas, a Dutch meat-salat with salmon and other goodies, a Dutch cheese platter and ofcourse there are Nieuwjaars rolletjes.....Rolled coockies and you can out creme in it!

Peter's JOB at 31 of december!

This is traditional in our family! Dad is baking the oliebollen!

A FROSTY OLD YEAR!

While mother nature shows us her pretty, we are working all hard to get the Dutch goodies ready for tonight!
The Old Year is running to his end.....
The New Year is COMING!!!!!!
But......
There is a lot to be done!

Euro Disney december 2008!

We did celebrate Björn his Birthday again in Euro Disney this year!
From the 27 th till the 30 st of december we had a wonderful cheerful time in Euro Disney!
As you all can see: it was worth the long drive and ofcourse it was COLD.......
But all the fun and the love for each other made the cold "peanuts'.....
So to say: a piece of cake!
We did visit Pere Noël again and yes! He did reconize us right away!
We also payed a visit to City Hall to get a special dissabled pass for Björn, so it gets a little easier to step in and out a car.....
Björn his Birthday present was a breakfast with the Disney Characters and he loved it! Mickey and friends gave him so much attention and love.......
We are a happy family!

Elise"s Challenge 2008: operation 52> Resolutions.

There has been quite some comotion in our lives this year!
We had some resolutions, because we want to stay together as a family and we decided to keep Björn at home as long as he will live......
That is not what others want us to.
Our neighbours are concerned that Björn will get noisy......?????????????????????????????????
He can't even speak!!!!
Funny people......
But....we will keep our heads up and go for US AS A FAMILY!!!!
We are going to built that daycare centre for Björn! NO MATTER WHAT!

What a surprise my men gave me!

The boy's gave me a huge surprise this afternoon!
The boy's went to granny for a little Christmas-visit and Peter would pick them up at four, so we could go to Peter's parents for Christmas-diner.
Peter asked me: Can you walk the dog to your mom's? I leave at four and can you be there at four thirty?
Ofcourse, no problem!
So....when I arrived at granny's my three men all looked sooooo HANDSOME and PRETTY!
I had to cry a little......
Because my kids....................they grow up too fast..............They are little men allready!
I am soooo proud of my men and what a huge surprise on my blog!
Because that is what Peter did!
Thank you my darling!
It was a wonderful surprise!
Just like I told you before: how I love my men!

We don't HATE posing!!!

We don't hate posing. We just like the natural look and not de "faked smiles" and sit like this and not like that. So we got mom a big suprise. We posed for her on X-mas day. All in secrecy at grandma's attic. Jenny "loves to see her men in suits"; This line we picked up and tried to make the best of it. Of course we have Björn with his handicap and is handicapped feet. Now he is wearing dad's shoes. Walking is a little difficult be for a short time he can manage. Ingmar liked the black suit in the store so he's wearing it like a grown man, with a little bow tie. Dad is all dressed in black. So happy x-mas to everybody and of course to JENNY.

Elise's Challenge 2008: operation 51> HOLIDAY.

My HOLIDAY-feelings do start right away when Peter has finished the tree....
Traditional a huge tree with golden balls and with some special little things, like a little angel I got from my old-auntie Dine when I was 1 years old. My mom and dad had no car, so we went to her on the bike. She gave me the little angel and I was soooooo happy with it.
But....when we had to go back to our own place it was snowing and bitterly cold. My mom wanted me to give her the angel, so she could put in in her bag, but I refused.....
On the way home I lost the little angel and I was heart broken......
My sweet dad went back all the way with a lantern, in the cold and in the snow....He found my little angel and ofcourse it was damaged due to the snow....
But my mom restored her and every year my little angel is also in the tree.......
Holiday.........Warm wishes to all.......I feel so very blessed.......
I am a rich girl having so many sweet scrap-friends.......
I am happy and content because I made new friends this years and I was lucky to see Marjolein, Jeanet, Marije, Tammie, Mireille and lots of other girls this summer......
Holiday......I alway's think about all the heavy things we have had this year, but I want to keep an open mind and stay positive.....

Skating-fun!

The Groninger Seaports (a company in Delfzijl) did rent a indoor skating-track for all of us!
Isn't this WONDERFUL????
Thank you Mr. Harm Post, because you made this happen for old and young! The Groninger Seaports exist 50 years and Harm wanted to treat us! See: www.groningerseaports.nl
We went over a couple of times and yes! I did some skating and a lot of children know me (as their teacher), so we really have had a lot of FUN!
It looks so pretty and they have oliebollen (Dutch treat) and Glühwein......
And ofcourse hotdogs and other goodies.....
I can eat my heart out!

Elise's Challenge 2008: operation 50> Winter.

Boy oh boy.....Elise really tries to get the job done this year! Great! I could scrap two pages last night! Thank you, girl, because we all want to finish your PAPER CHALLENGE 2008!
It has been fun, but the year is almost over.......
This operation is: WINTER!
How is the weather here? Well, it is getting colder, so we hope to get some ice soon! I love speed skating, so please......GIVE ME WINTER! I know poor Marjo in Canada allready hates all the snow she has and my relatives and friends in Orgeon are sick and tired of all the snow and ice topping they have right now, but.......
I can not help it: THIS IS WINTER TO US! LOT'S OF SNOW! My favorite winter in Austria!

Almost Christmas.

It is almost Christmas and this year I am looking forward to it! I hope 2009 will bring us a little more luck then 2008!
But anyway......

I wanted to share my scrap-calender (thank you Marjo, because you gave me the spirit last year) with all of you and some mini-books. They are folded and then I made the front and the back of the book with Christmas-material.

Elise's Challenge: operation 49> SECRETS.....

Sorry, dear friends...

Elise is weeks behind with her Paper Challenge!
So.....Though it's almost Christmas and my head has trouble with St. Nicholaas and the Black Helpers....End of november untill the fifth of december a lot of people have secrets...What will the Saint bring you and me? Secrets about gift's and pöems......Secrets about candy and feak gift's...

I had to make this page: second of december 2008.

It's an old picture (2006) and this was the last year we had the Saint and two Black Helpers in our house to visit the boy's.

The SECRET'S we did have for the boy's because of the story of the Saint was a goner....

They lost their "believe"........

A year later Ingmar started (on the age of 10!) as a Black Pieter himself to please others and to make children happy! Amazing how we share THIS IMPORTANT SECRET with our boy's now!
It's fun! They both do a very good job! If we are "black"Björn reconizes us right away.....
