Hier mijn bijdrage TEENAGER!

This week it's all about the teenager in our home: INGMAR! Incredible how one week school has shaped him up! He act's so menture allready! He comes home and makes his homework right away....Can't believe it! He looks so driven!
I must admit....He's our first TEENAGER! We have no experience with Björn at all.
He might be almost 17 years old, but he is ofcourse a little boy in behaviour, so...
Ingmar and his attitude is complete NEW! But I must say: It's good to see this all and we enjoy it! Ofcourse he speaks out a little loud from time to time, but it is all part of growing up and find your own way in life! I reconize a lot of me (when I was his age) in him and that is okay!
It's all part of growing up! He is just like me a little unpatience when things are not going his way......

Have fun, Jen.

Cards 4, 5, 6 and 7.

These are the cards I made this week.
They are still a little simple I think.....
But that's okay....
I am more a scrappin'girl, I guess.....
Jen.

Card 2 and 3.

Some more try out's in cardmaking,
Jen.

Card 1

I tried to make some cards again.
This one is for a happy couple for their marriage.

Gift-box.

I started to work on gift-boxes.
This way I recycle a lot of boxes and it's so much fun to get rid of scraps of papers.
Have you any idea what kind of box this might be?
Let me know!
This one invites you to forget your diet and dig in....
The next box will be an nice storage for my paint brushes.
Have a nice day and thank you for leaving a comment on my blog: I appreciate it very much,
Jen.

JEN'S challenge week 34: Rock the boat!

Boy, oh, boy...
Did we rock the boat last saturday!
We really did enjoy the trip by partyship Jules Verne. It was such a special treat!
All the wonderful Tall Ships from all over the world!
Now...there are lovely memories....
Hope there will be another DelfSail in 5 years!

JEN'S challenge week 35:friday, 28 of august 2009> TEENAGER(s)....

This week Ingmar started at his new school!
For five years he is going to the H.A.V.O at the Fivel College (name of the school).
Every day he comes home with quite some stories....
How every teacher starts the day with his or her prayer, how much they have to learn, how much homework he has to do, how his fellow students are, how smart he is, because he made his homework in a spare hour, that he did a good job on the "yesterday"homework.......
Short to go....
HE REALLY IS A TEENAGER!
NO DOUBT!
I am looking at him every day, but now he is changing fast! He talkes like an adult, he walks like an adult.....
My good heaven....
How fast time goes!
It's a miracle!
I know for sure: I wasn't this wise on his age!
Have a nice day,

Jen.

Hooray!

Dearest friends,

Peter and I....
We are soooo VERY HAPPY!
We had (this afternoon) a special INSPECTION (law!) and YES, YES, YES!!!!
Two inspectors did approve our little daycarecentre!

SHORT TO GO:

WE MADE IT!

We are so very happy!
Ofcourse now we have to keep up with all the new laws to stay a great place to be,but.....
At least we did prove that we can do us on our own!
YES! YES! YES!!!!!
Lots of love,

Jen.

HOERA!

Jen.

DelfSail: Festival of the SEVEN SEAS!

Dear people all around the world,
Yesterday we went on partyship JULES VERNE as V.I.P.'s to "sail" along the Eems with all the other TALL SHIPS from all over the world!
There is the SEDOV from Russia, the BOUNTY (this ship was used in the movie Pirates of the Carribean), the Russian MIR, the famous Kreuzenstern from Germany and many more....
It ws a lovely day and it was wonderful to be at the Eems again.
My dad used to work on a firebrigadeship in this harbour and in summertime I went along with him all the time, because I just LOVE the OCEAN and to be on the water!
I NEVER have been seasick in my life! I really must have sea-legs!
So...this trip was so very special to me!
We were so very lucky to get this opportunity.
We went with the whole family, so granny could enjoy her grandson's the whole day!
Here some pictures that I want to share with all of you.
At nine thirty p.m. a wonderful Dutch artist MARCO BORSATO did a live concert in the harbour!
There were at least 80.000 (!!!) people to see and hear him and his great band!
That was toooooo much for me! Instead of standing there as a sardine, I went to the beach and saw MARCO on a huge screen. It was like he was right there....
SOOOO LIVE! SOOOOO VERY WONDERFUL!
THANK YOU MARCO AND BAND: it was a splendid concert!
Silly me to forget my camera .....
I could have had him soooooo close!
Well, anyway....here are some nice pictures.
Have a great sunday
I see bye, bye....happy girl on a sunny, warm day in small Delfzijl, where it is very, very busy (I'll make some pictures of all the people!),

Jenny.

JEN'S challenge week 34: 21 augustus '09> Rock the boat.

Tomorrow DelfSail starts.
DelfSail is the FESTIVAL of the SEVEN SEAS.
It will be a wonderful view to see all the ships coming in!
There will be people from all over the world and it will be a GREAT HAPPENING!
This day I want to go down town to see all the flags, the harbour and other things to make the DELF SAIL a pretty and eye-catchting festival.
Enjoy the day,
Jen.

Little gifts for a friend.

This morning I made some little gifts for a friend.
She is ill and I hope these small presents will cheer her up a little.
The candybox is made from a (clean) McDonalds-box. The one they put your yummie French fries in!
Isn't it a cutie-pie?
I just loved the idea of turning it into a candybox.
One tag has a nice swirl-stamp and the other one has a stamp: you'r special. The card was a try out, too! I cut a piece out of the center and taped a little "window"in it. So there's space to put something in. I decorated it quite simple with some paper lace and some flowers.
Well...anyway, it was fun to make these items for a special friend!
Have a nice sunday,
Jen.

JEN'S CHALLENGE 24: 12 th of june '09> WORK TO DO!

I am alway's working...
My hands are never on my lap....
They are alway's doing something.
On the plane, in a hotelroom, at school, at the daycarecentre, at home...
No matter were I am: I am alwy's a busy bee and I will be this way untill the end, I guess....
I love being busy!
When I am not working?
I must be ill then!
Have a great evening and now you almost did see all the work I did last week to get up with my own CHALLENGES!
Bye, bye, Jen.

JÉN'S CHALLENGE 25: 19 june '09> Career.

For a long time I was thinking and hoping that my career would have been a smooth one, but....With a boy like Björn at home, we had to make some decisions....
Those decisions ment (for us as parents) that our careers will continue for ever....
The daycarecentre is quite a job to do and believe me...End of august the Dutch GGD will visit us for the second time to inspect on the safety and quality.
Keep your fingers crossed!
Love, Jen.

JEN'S CHALLENGE 26: 26 june '09> SUMMER!

I can't tell you all how I was longing for an Oregonian SUMMER!
A summer with only warm and fun day's! A summer in shorts all the time and walking bare foots in the snow on my beautiful Mount Hood!
And here it is!
My favorite mountain in Oregon: me in my shorts, walking in the cold snow, happy to cool off by making snowballs and throw them to Ingmar.
Thanks sweety for making this wonderful picture of mom!
By the way: here I was walking with my shoes on, but believe me: I really walked bare foot in this wonderful snow!
Kiss, Jen.

JEN'S CHALLENGE 27: 3 juli 09> LEAVING HOME....

Leaving home is not easy...
We left granny and Odie behind and ofcourse our daycarecentre as well....
First year in business and leaving the "company"behind already....
It was a little stressy to do, but we have been working so very hard and long...
We all needed a BREAK!
So...this was good..."LEAVING HOME"....
Jen.

JEN'S CHALLENGE 28: 10 july '09> FAMILY FUN.

This wonderful picture was made by my dear friend Joan Thonpson in Gresham. Thank you dear for taking this great family-picture!
We all look so very at home and what a wonderful day it was!
Thanks to you!
And you all can see HOW MUCH FUN WE DID HAVE AT JOÁN'S!
Family Fun? It's all about love and sharing....
Sharing friends, sharing the ball, sharing food, sharing your memories......
This picture really shows our family fun!
Hope you enjoy, Jen.

JEN'S CHALLENGE 29: 17 juli '09> Sharing pain.

This page I can not share with you, my dear friends....
It is about a man and a woman....I love them both dearly and I want to protect them....
They share a lifestorie together and they share all the pain in the world. I pray for them that they can be together for ever and ever...
I love you both, sweeties....
LOTS OF LOVE TO BOTH OF YOU,
Jen.

JEN'S CHALLENGE 30: 24 juli '09> GOODBYE....

This vacation we had to say a lot of times GOODBYE!
And saying GOODBYE is never easy....
Ingmar also had a lot of sad feelings saying GOODBYE to all our friends, but he was thinking that alsosaying GOODBYE to RUSTY-doggie was hard to do.....
And yes....I also cried, because I hate to say GOODBYE...
In this case again a GOODBYE for quite some years.....
But....our GOODBYE isn't forever....
I started saving money already....
Hug, Jen.

JEN'S CHALLENGE 31: 31 july '09> Home is my castle.

We are so grateful to our friends that they all opened there houses for us and let us in.
Thank you for making us feel so welcome!
It all felt like a warm and loving blanket!
What else can we say?
It all was so wonderful and cousy....
We felt at home everywhere we came.....
Mi casa es tu casa...
Home is my castle!
Jen.

JEN'S CHALLENGE 32: 7 augustus '09> New friends.

It was so very wonderful to meet new friends...
Thank you Ron, Jeanette and Joan for having us visiting you and we really enjoyed every minute of it!
We are greatful for your friendship!

JEN'S CHALLENGE 33: 14 augustus '09> It's all in a smile....

Here's my page for this week. IT'S ALL IN A SMILE.....
There's nothing I can say more....
Have a wonderful evening,
Jen.

JEN'S CHALLENGE: 14 augustus '09> It's all in a smile.

Sometimes I am so heavy on my heart....
I forget how beautiful life is with my boy's....
But in The United States I feel so comfortable and so at home.....
Seems to me I was a happy heart there...
I was smiling all the time....
Went to Animal Kingdom with Björn. It was very hot! VERY HOT AND VERU BUSY, but I did it! ALL DAY I DID BJÓRN! Wich is heavy, but we did have soooo MUCH FUN and it was a very, happy and special day!
I am so grateful.....
So....It's all in a smile and when I smile, I really do not look so bad....
I have to keep up the smile, I guess...
Love you all,
big hug,Jen.

Cards....Homemade in The States.

I also made some cards in The States.
I really had to see THANK YOU to some special people!
When we visited Joan in Gresham, Peter and the boy's went home after lunch, so Joan took me to her scraproom and we did do some work together, which was so much FUN! Thank you again, dear Joan! It was a wonderful time!
Hope to do it in future again!
So, anyway, Joan made some great paper on her computer for me and I really loved the roses. I had to make cards with this paper and did sent Joan one.
Enjoy life and celebrate each minute!
Today I am thinking of a friend.....
She is in hospital and the doctors are operating on her this minute....
She has cancer and I hope you will all pray for her and her dear family.....
I hope for the very best and later I will make her a card....
Just to let her know that I will be there for her and her family.
Jen.

Bo Bunny-foldingbook.

In America I did some scrapping....
I made a book for my dear friend. I love her very much and I admire her strenght and she is such a warm and lovin', caring lady.....
The warm colours of the Bo Bunny paper were just made for her personality, so I made this for her. She loved it and I hope she will put some precious pics in it.
At least it was fun to make it for her!
Love you over there, sweeties!
Jen.

More FUN during the heatwave.....

It got sooo very hot! There were day's that you only wanted one thing: WATER, WATER and a lot of ICE!!!
So.....yes, we went to Mt. Hood to walk barefoots in the snow in shorts....
These pics I will show you later.
But we also went to COLD STONE CREAMERY! And that was YUMMIE for the STUMMIE as you all can see!
The boy's did not mind waiting: there was a lot to see....
Have a nice day, Jen.
