Björn's leg!

As you all can see.......

Poor thing is in pain! For the first time in thirteen years he really did say: AU! AU! AU! for many times! He never used words for his feelings, but NOW he did!

We spoil him a little with nice storybooks and ofcourse with a lot of Disney-DVD's.....

Het zit even tegen!

Kom ik na de eerste gezellige werkdag in groep 3/4 op de Tasveld om kwart voor vijf thuis.....???
Zegt Ingmar van 11: "Mam! Je moet direct naar de spoedeisende hulp in het ziekenhuis, want papa denkt, dat Björn zijn voet heeft gebroken!"
En???
Inderdaad! Onze scheet heeft zijn rechtervoet GEBROKEN op het kinderdagcentrum!
Hoe? Dat weet men niet, omdat Björn niets zegt en ook niets aan geeft!
In het ziekenhuis heeft hij overduidelijk wel van zich laten horen met een overduidelijk AU! AU! AU! AU!!!!!!!!
Nu heeft hij tijdelijk een kurk-spalk en als de zwelling is afgenomen, moeten we naar de chirurg en als de foto's ok zijn, dan mag ie een gips-pootje.....
Zo niet, dan wordt het weer een operatie!
Al met al.....Zeg maar dag-met-je-handje tegen werken! We moeten er weer bovenop, want hij mag zijn voet absoluut NIET bewegen!
En....iedere dag spuiten tegen trombose! En die naald.....!!!!! Da;s wel het ergste voor onze Björn, die trauma's heeft van naalden!

This afternoon I got home from school (my first workday after Björn his operation!) and Ingmar (eleven) did tell me, that I had to go to the hospital right away, because dad was thinking, that Björn broke his foot!!
And yes, indeed.....The poor thing broke his foot in a terrible way!
Very ugly! So......He got a special brace where they put his foot and leg in to let the swelling go....
After a week we have to go to the churgeon for more details....
Bad luck is another operation and wheelchair for live!!!!! Good luck will be: a nice plastered leg for 6 till 8 weeks......
Well, tomorrow I have to go to school and bring back the books.....
No....no school for me....
I have to make sure that we get a wheelchair as soon as possible and the needles for the injections.... So Björn will get NO bloodclothes......
Ans yes! We have to do this all ourselves....Also the needles! The nurse showed us on the corridor how to do it and BYE!!!!! There you go again!
Is this our healthcare???
Were we do pay so much money for every month???
Poor Björn....
He has a lot of pain!
And they can not tell us HOW it happened at his daycare centre!
Will you please burn a little candle for Björn again???

Sunday, 31 august 2008: CliniClowns Theatertour.

Today we had an early start, cause we had to be on time in Leeuwarden for the CliniClowns Theatertour!
It is alway's so much fun and we all enjoy this very, VERY MUCH!

It's an honour to get an invitation for this special Tour and it's only for very ill and retarded children and their family's.

I am so very grateful to all the people who work so hard to get the BEST out of our children!
BIG APPLAUSE for all the GREAT ARTISTS and the WONDERFUL CLINICLOWNS!

A wonderful Birthday-Scrap-Party for wonderful kids!

The girls ( 8 turned up at the biggest SCRAP-

PARTY ever....) had a lot of FUN!
They ate and scrapped their little HEARTS out and they all are such a good team!
Just like I told them some time ago when they were in my classroom and being their teacher!
I like these girls so much!
They are happy, bright and very much FUN to be with!

Thank YOU all, sweeties! I had a wonderful

Birthday-scrapparty for Kirsten!

This saturday we have a Birthday-scrapparty for Kirsten.

Her present is allready at the scrap-attic! Also all the sweet are ready to be eaten by 9 (!) happy, young girls!

I made these 9 books for the ladies, so they can scrap their little hearts out!
We are going to stamp, to do nice things with the cuttle bug......

It will be great FUN!
The sun is out and it will be a warm day!
So....We have a picnic as well, so the girls do get some fresh air!

I will keep you informed about this party!

Brocante/romantic....................

I was very impressed by the way some of you made your home so very good looking by using material and laces and other goodies.....

Before I got married I was in charge of it all, but after I had another person to deal with...And he did not like this style at all....

Too bad....But...After 16 years of marriage, I started to let some of the BROCANTE and ROMANTIS things in to my living room again....
