CLINICLOWNS ZINTUIGENTOUR!

This afternoon we went to a show of the cliniclows in Bakkeveen. Also in the North of Holland, but in the provence Friesland.
We had a lot of fun! Bjòrn did make music on the pan, but he also put the pan on his head and made everybody smile! The clowns were great! The music was gorgeous! There was food, beverages, fruits, candy, pictures for all and a lovely book and cd to listen and read at home. The story was about the 5 senses: Ear, Tongue, Eye, Hand and Nose and these five senses live with the king. The king throwes a party and we all have to do something to make 5 presents for the senses. So...we made a painting, a cake, colors of the rainbow....
I have to admit that I alway´s have to cry a little...
My emotions by seeing the wonderful interaction between children and the clowns....
It made my eyes wet again and again....
SO BEAUTIFUL! What a talented people!
Talented people with a very good and warm heart!
They gave us the feeling to be TOGETHER is samen in Dutch.
THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING, DEAR PEOPLE WHO MADE THIS HAPPEN!
LOTS OF LOVE TO ALL MY FRIENDS,
JEN.

INGMAR'S SURPRISE!

Just an hour ago I got Ingmar being very sneaky....
He just was doing something....???
So..I asked him: "What are you doing, my boy?"
He gave me a huge smile and said:"I am making a nice surprise for you and dad! I bought some cupcakes-stuff and I am almost done! Iám going to bake them, now!"
WOW! Where's my little boy?
I mean....DUH....? He's "only" twelve? Time flies to fast and the kids do grow up toooo FAST! Well....I let him do his job. I mean: What could go wrong?
LIKE BURNING DOWN THE HOUSE?
Just joking! I have faith in my boy, so here they are!
GOOD JOB, SON! THEY ARE GORGEOUS and THEY LOOK SO VERY PRETTY on MOMMY's MARTHA STWEART CUPCAKE STANDARD!
HAVE FUN, JEN.

Babybook.

One of the teachers at my school in Garmerwolde got a baby girl and all together we made a book for her. Every child who visits this school got a page to scrap on. I hope she will like it! On the back of the book my logo! I go for a combination of two stamps with my scrap nickname! I think it will be a nice logo to put on all my scrap work!

Borstkanker/breastcancer.

Liefs, Jen.

Today I bought some breastcancer items at the Etos store. With these products I think of ywo of my dearest friends, who both suffer from breastcancer and their battle to survive is long and hard! By bying these bracelets and other pretty pink things I also support the breastcancer research! So...It gave me a good feeling to do something!
Dear girls....One of you is close by, but the other is at the other side of the world.....
I THINK OF YOU and I PRAY FOR YOU!
For all the ill people all around the world: I really think of all....
I can't do much, but what I can I will do!
Big hug, Jen.

More scrapfun.

I also made two almost the same VINTAGE scrap cards and a little map to keep my pictures in for coming projects.
For the map I used a wonderful stamp! I bought this stamp some years ago in Bandon By the Sea in Oregon and it really is one of my favorites. I am so very fond of the Oregonian lighthouses!
I hope you enjoy these three items again!
Hug for all my dear friends,
Jen.

Not only scrapping!

I love my scrapping, but I have more work that I also love dearly!
Knitting, embroiderie, painting, drawing, cooking, sewing and......
Making little and sweet things like this!
I bought it at Atelier Sterre! They have such darling little things!
If you are interested, look at:

www.ateliersterre.nl

Bye,Jen.

New baby.

This card I made for a young couple who got their second child.
It's a boy!
CONGRATS!
Jen.

AUTUMN is on the way!

At my new school in Garmerwolde the builder got ready. All the teachers had to clean and move the school furniture and the school stuff last wednesday! What a job! But we did it! Then we realized that our staff-room did not look very nice with the table so very empty!
So I offered to do a flower-arrangement in season style. An arrangement that will last for two months or longer....
An arrangement that also can be changed into a Christmas-aarangement real quickly.
I think this will do for a little while.
I hope the other teachers will like it too.
At least our table is no longer empty any more!
Have a nice time,
Jen.

JEN'S challenge, week 37, friday 11 th of september> Baby (s).

This is my page for the last week challenge. I used an old picture from me...
Just born.....
So cute.....
Also nice to see how a little clinic those day's looked like.
Have fun,
Jen.

Basic Grey tray.

PFFFFFFFFFFFFFF.....
It's working again! So here is an old wooden tray (bought at the Xenos store a longgggggggggggg time ago!) and I made a home deco of it.
My kitchen has some old blue accents, so I used the Basic Grey paperstack "Boxer".
It was a gift from Riet and as you can see, dear Riet: I LOVE THE PAPERS!
It looks a little very red on the picture, but in real it is more an old red-brown color. The branches, bird, flowers and other embellishments I made with the cricut. The roses are from paper, the lance is made out of paper and the Martha Stewart punch.
Hug, Jen.
Even helemaal speciaal voor mijn lieve vriendin Riet!

Sunday, 20 september 2009.

Dear friends/ lieve mensen,

Bye, Jen.

JEN'S challenge week 38:friday 18 th of september '09> home grown....

Today I had to demo at the Pipoos store in Groningen....
Yesterday I had to work late in the daycarecentre....
Short to go.....
I ran out of time completely!
Not really my style NOT TO BLOG THE NEW CHALLENGE IN TIME!
There for my excuse to all of you!
The first time in 38 weeks that I wasn't on time!
One day late! I am ashamed!
But...
Here it is: HOME GROWN!
What is home grown?
It could be your son(s) or daughter(s).....
Home grown with a lot of love....
Or your grapes, your kittens, your pumpkins or your tomatoes.....
For me it will be my wonderful tomatoes! I can't believe that there are so many of them in such a small spot! We eat tomatosoup for weeks now....A lot of tomatosauce with the spaghetti......Tomatoes on the pizza....
Well.....at the end of this month????
The boys will throw them at me!
The demo at the Pipoos wa a nice one!
There were a lot of people (wonderful weather!) and the day was over before I realized. I had to demo the cricut and I pimped an old wooden tray with BG paper.
Used the cricut for borders and flowers and it really looks "old"....
It fits in my kitchen (old blue), so .....it works out fine.
I will show it tomorrow!
Have a good night where ever you are,
Big hug,
Jen.

Jen's challenge week 36 and another card.

Yesterday (late) I did finish my challenge, week 36: Dreamin'of....
Ofcourse I am dreaming of my ill friends to get better! Ofcourse I dream of a world without cancer, aids and other terrible things!
But? There's so very little I can do! The things we do, like giving money and support sometimes seems not enough to me!
In my sleep I often dream of remedial teaching> how do I get my students on a higher leval? Hum....yep! I agree...not a very pleasant dream.....
My day-dreams are more pleasant. I can dream of and go back to Oregon....To the falls, Hood River, Sandy, Gresham, Portland, Sherwood and Tigard, Bonneville Dams and ofcourse my favorite spot: Mount Hood!
Enough about my dreams....
Yesterday I also got my punches, so I did some work on a card.
I really love this one.
I think me practicing making Vintage cards does get better.
I think I make a little progress!
I am going to make some more, because it's so much fun!
Have a wonderful sunday,
Jen.

Vintage cards.

Fijne zaterdag, Jen.

I made some new Vintage cards. I did sent them to some sweet persons. The pink one went to Riet and the blue one went to Marcha. She was in my classroom last year and she wrote me a card: I love you so much and I miss you so!
Ain't this something? I am working on two new cards for my ill and sweet friends, but the cards aren't ready yet, so you have to wait, girls.
Also I have to make a home deco for the Pipoos. They have a demo next week in the store and they asked me again to demo the cricut. So...they keep me busy!
But....the weather is so wonderful here: I am going for a nice walk with the dog first!
Have a wonderful saturday,
Jen.

JEN'S challenge week 37: 11 th of september '09> BABIES.

This week it was a complete BABY-BOOM in my life!
And it was in the newspapers, too.
With the recession going on, more babies will be born!
One of the teachers got a girl, one of our parents (daycarecentre) got a boy, one of my friends is still expecting, a new parent with baby for the daycarecentre, another parent will have a baby soon.....
I see BABY'S EVERYWHERE.....
AND NO, I AM NOT EXPECTING.....The same with doggies! I see little puppies everywhere.
Have fun and I hope you will enjoy babies/ puppies as much as we do!
They are little treasures!

Have a good evening,
Jen.

VINTAGE BOOK for SCRAPSHOP ROSA!

This is my first design for SCRAPSHOP ROSA!
It's a wonderful workshop.
I will not say anything anymore, but it was wonderful to do and to finish the book finally. When I was in The States, my mom turned into 77 years "young".
I think I will surprise her with this book!
Have a nice day,
Jen.

JEN'S challenge week 36, friday 4th of september '09> My dream....

This week I had some thoughts about my dream(s)....
I really dream of going to Arnemuiden and hug Riet, take her out for lunch, talk and talk a lot with her, going to Spijkenisse with her and spoil her with attention, friendship and all the goodies, she likes.
I dream of my friend being cancer-free! If I had some magic.....!!!!!I would take away her illness!
I dream of going to Canada and stay a couple of weeks at Marjolein and Henk.....
Zippin'a Friese Beerenburger with Henk, singing out loud in their basement and scrap my heart out with Marjo!
I dream....
My goodness.....
I really have a lot of dreams!
I really have to stop right now....
Well...I hope you have dreams, too, because what is a person without beautiful dreams?
Have a nice evening,

love to all my friends all over the world,
Jen.
