Where did the time go???????

My little and last child...............................

He is such a wonderful boy: so caring and loving and alway's helping out others!
He is just a good boy with a healthy temper and he is soooo fun of lego and games.

The picture was made twelve years ago by our friend Allert Dik and last night (after the scrap-lesson) I decided that it was time to scrap it.

So, while I am still waiting on ELISE (who is late again with her new challenge) I am working on some LO´s.....

There are so many nice pictures left!

Mooie stofjes en lintjes....

Ik ben als scrapster en knutselaar dol op mooie stofjes en lintjes....
Ik kan het allemaal zooooo goed gebruiken in mijn scrapwerkjes....
Ik heb (via Elly: dank Elly!) een hele leuke site ontdekt, waar Marieke prachtige, Amerikaanse stofjes en lintjes te koop aan biedt!
Echt een smul-paradijsje als je van stofjes houdt! Prachtige Vintage afbeeldingen......

Elise's Challenge 2008: operation 43> MUSIC!

This week the operation is MUSIC!
What means music to me?
A LOT! As a child I had great times at wedding anniversary's. We had a great family then and the bonds were close, so there was a lot to celebrate! As you can see on this old photo......
The family was singing and dancing and little me? I used to climb on the table's and sang my heart out for the family. I still remember a song.....I was three and I misunderstood the lines, so I was singing: "Janie, Janie, pak me nog een keer!"instead of: "Janus, Janus....."
But this was so funny to the grownups!

Now....I am a "big"girl......Guess what? I met a professional singer, we got friends and now we are singing together and we are "in training", because we have our first concert in march 2009.
It will be nothing special, but it's FUN and what I did as a small kid, I am going to do now for real: SINGING! CROSS YOUR FINGERS, GIRLS, hi, hi.........

I am still working on this project, because it needs some journaling, but it´s a tin with a book and it´s about Peter and his brother Richard.

Perhaps it will be a nice Christmas-gift for my parents-in-law.

Time to share some scrap-projects with all of you!

In this little CD-tin I scrapped Björn and dad's trip to Euro Disney in 2000.....Quite some time ago....

Almost every year Peter takes Björn to Euro Disney, because Björn loves it sooooooo very much!

Last year we all went to celebrate Björn his Birthday with Mickey!

It was so lovely!

Everything was CHRISTMAS and they had a snowmachine, so ......

A new webshop!

Today I discovered a new webshop!
It's called scrapshop rosa....
The owner her name is Ilonka and she gave me a call this afternoon!
Nice person: really....By the tone she spoke you feel ok right away.
Besides this...
She has a nice collection scrap-items!
She is only in business for four (!!!) weeks, but she has grate things allready!

ILONKA: I wish you a great start and I ordered all ready, because yoy have GREAT STUFF!!!!
Hope that you will be in the scrap-world for al long time, girl! GO FOR IT!!!

Dad's suitcase.

Once I bought this tiny, little suitcase in the Christmas-store Sleigh Bells in Sherwood, Oregon.

It made me think of my dad right away....I can not explain what is was, but I just had to scrap a part of my dad's life in this little suitcase.

And so I did.....

It is on our mantel and once in a while I open it and read all the things about my sweet dad.

I even scrapped his handwriting in the suitcase!

My old goodies......

Net als Elly ben ik ook helemaal weg van het Brocante. Ook de Amerikaanse countrie-stijl is helemaal aan mij besteed. Zo heb ik al heel wat ouwe spulletjes verzameld! Het eendje is nog uit mijn eigen kindertijd! Hier heb ik dus 45 jaar geleden echt mee gespeeld! De Bambi-hertjes en het porseleinen bakje met konijn kreeg ik ooit van mijn oma.

Het popje heb ik ooit eens gemaakt van koud porselein! Hiervan had ik nog nooit gehoord! Maar ik vond het erg leuk te doen en ik wil er vandaag weer eens mee beginnen, want ik kocht natuurlijk (!!!) de spullen, ha, ha...Het ligt al wel vijf jaar werkloos in de kast! Ik hoop, dat het porselein nog goed is, want ik wil roosjes maken! Hoe kan het ook anders???

De kruidenpotjes mocht ik van mijn oud-tante hebben. Ze zijn me erg dierbaar, want ik kwam graag bij haar!

Ook de kleine peper- en zoutvaatjes zijn van oud-tante geweest.

Hier een taartplateau en een wijn-onderzetter. Die kocht ik ooit eens in Amerika.

Hier het tinnen serviesje van mijn voorouders. En mijn eigen leesplankje met de lettertjes nog in het originele doosje.....
Jawel...de gewone AAP-NOOT en MIES en ik heb er uitstekend mee leren lezen!
Als ik nu- als leerkracht- zie HOE SLECHT ER TEGENWOORDIG GELEZEN wordt!!!!

De groene gebaksschoteltjes scoorde ik ooit in Canada en de kopjes zijn van mijn over-oma geweest.



De Heineken-onderzetters zijn ook oud, maar ik denk zo jaren vijftig. Wel leuk....Bij de kringloopwinkel voor 25 eurocent.

Hier wat oude dekschalen en een TURKEY-PLATE uit Amerika. En een visschaal met vis-schep. Natuurlijk heb ik de zelfgehaakte kleedjes ook maar weer eens van stal gehaald. Gelukkig had ik ze bewaard, want mijn moeder en oma hebben ze nog gehaakt!

Jullie zullen ongetwijfeld de zand, zeep en soda wel herkennen, alsmede de koffiemolen. Deze kreeg ik van een andere oud-tante, die mij ook zeer lief was. En zo stond ik even stil bij al die mooie, oude spulletjes, waar ik zo blij mee ben, omdat ze mij uit liefde gegeven zijn door schatten van mensen. Geheel geïnspireerd door Elly!

Je hebt geen idee hoe je mij weer op allerlei leuke ideetjes hebt gebracht!

Elise's Challenge 2008: operation 42: LAYERS.....

Dear girls,

Hold your breath...

I know...

My life is full of trouble and sadness, but...

It made me strong and it did put LAYERS on my little SOUL!

Layers? Yes, but it doesn't mean I forget all those I love so dearly, like my cousin Myrna.

I grew up with her: she was my big sis and then she died ........

She was only 35 years young......

Myy dad was terminal (cancer), but he told me to go to Michigan and be at her funeral, before his....So....I did...

I lost a lot, but.......The loss gave me LAYERS and it made me strong.....

I will never forget my sweet MYRNA: YOU ARE ALWAYS WITH ME> every day you are part of me.....THANK YOU FOR BEING MY "sis".........
